What is WeDevX?

WeDevX is a bootcamp that teaches coding and UX design. Their course is 3 months long, each class is 3 hours. The course is to ensure that the students are job ready by the end of the course.

What is WeDevX?

It is not easy giving 20 students a crash course in UX design to become full fledged designers in 3 months. I worked with the other instructor to carefully craft a course that allows the students to learn all the fundamental principles of a UX design and get the practice they need to become a UX designer.

To get experience as a UX designer, it's important to keep practicing your craft. So I gave them lots of real-world like projects to work on and giving them constraints to work with. To end the course, we gave mock interview practices for them to have experience in interviewing.

With the experience from WeDevX I found that each student progresses at different rates. The students getting into the tech field is usually coming from a different background and so their experience with technology is vastly different. Being able to tailor to their learning needs is critical to their success. Therefore I found 1:1 mentoring sessions actually being the most effective way to learn.
